松柏嶺青心烏龍茶的特色為「香、濃、醇、韻、美」。

其特色包括： 

香氣濃郁：帶有獨特的清香，沖泡後散發茉莉或桂花等花香氣息。

茶湯色澤：呈現透明金黃或鵝黃的色澤，帶有油光。

口感溫潤：入口爽朗、滑順，帶有甘甜的喉韻，回甘明顯，不易苦澀。

外觀緊結：茶葉外型呈球型或半球型，條索緊結，墨綠鮮豔。

多樣風味：在松柏嶺茶區，以青心烏龍為代表的品種，能製作出多樣化的風味，
                   例如加上其他品種如金萱和四季春的綜合風味，就具有豐富的層次感。 

機械化栽培與製茶：松柏嶺茶區是台灣最早引進機械採茶的茶區之一，為追求穩定的品質和降低成本，主要種植適合機械採摘的品種。
「三綠」特色：松柏長青茶的「乾茶」、「湯色」、「葉底」皆呈現綠色，是其獨特的外觀特色。
適合冷泡：因茶湯溫潤甘甜，除了熱泡之外，也非常適合冷泡飲用。
