松柏嶺翠玉烏龍茶的特色是具有獨特的天然花香（如野薑花、玉蘭花、桂花等），茶湯金黃透亮、甘醇順口，帶有鮮甜的滋味與清爽的餘韻。此茶種是經改良的「台茶13號翠玉」品種，茶乾外觀緊結，帶有獨特香氣，且因適合機械採收，產量穩定，價格實惠。
 
外觀與茶乾
外觀：茶葉較直立，葉片細長且厚，葉色深綠帶有光澤，芽色稍紫。
茶乾：外觀顆粒緊結結實，色澤深綠帶有赤黃，身骨重實。 

茶湯與滋味
茶湯：色澤為飽和的淺黃至金黃，清澈明亮。
滋味：入口後有鮮甜感，口感清爽甘醇，不易苦澀。
香氣：帶有濃郁的「清香」和「花香」，特別是野薑花、玉蘭花和桂花香。 

栽種與特色
品種：主要種植改良品種「台茶13號翠玉」（俗稱二九仔）。
產區：主要產自南投縣名間鄉的松柏嶺茶區，該地因特殊地形、氣候和紅色土壤適合種茶。
製程：適合中輕發酵、輕焙火的製程。
優勢：由於適合機械採收，產量穩定且成本較低，是經濟實惠的茶品。
